Genetics diversity estimation of Sibu yak using mtDNA D_Loop sequences
As an important representative national genetic resources breed of yak in Tibet, the Sibu yak has irreplaceable value for the economic development of livestock husbandry in Tibet. This study aimed to evaluate the genetic diversity of Sibu yak populations with different coat colors based on genetic via variation in the mitochondrial Loop region. The results showed that a total of 57 polymorphic loci were found from 768 bp size D_Loop sequence all of 152 individuals as well as 51 D_Loop haplotype was identified. The haplotype diversity(Hd)was range from 0.893(black)to 0.944(brown),all haplotyped belong to two known phylogenetic branches, and 12 shared D_Loop haplotype were confirmed in both color coat Sibu yak populations. The Tajima'D and Fu's D parameters of both populations were not significant(P>0.05),and the genetic divergence between populations was not significant(FST=0.00409,P>0.05).Summary,the maternal genetic diversity of the Sibu yak population was rich, and there had been no population expansion in recent history. In addition, there was no significant genetic divergence between different coat colors Sibu yaks. Finally, this study provided data support for further clarifying the population relationship and genetic diversity of the Sibu yak.
