The effect of additives on the fermentation quality and feeding value of triticale
In order to investigate the effect of additives on the fermentation quality and feeding value of triticale,a two factor randomized block design was adopted in the experiment.Three strains of triticale(C16,C27 and C35)and additives(without additives and lactobacillus additives)were selected to compare the fermentation quality and feeding value of lactobacillus additives on the three strains of triticale silage feed. The results showed that under the action of lactic acid bacteria additives, the total sensory score of triticale strain C27 was the highest at 77.22,meeting the standard for high-quality feed; The lowest pH was 4.03,and the highest starch content was 4.85,which increased by 27.63%and 78.31%compared with the C16 and C35 groups, respectively. The NH3-N/TN of C27 was significantly lower than that of C16 and C35(P<0.05),and decreased by 14.90%and 3.33%compared with C16 and C35,respectively.The soluble crbohydrates(WSC)content of each strain was above 5%,and the total digestible nutrients(TDN),net energy produced(NEI),net energy maintained(NEm),net energy gain(NEg),relative feed value(RFV),relative feed quality(RFQ),and milk yield per ton of feed were all higher than those of C16 and C35.From the comprehensive consideration of fermentation quality and feed value,C27 had better fermentation quality and feed value than the other two strains under the action of lactic acid bacteria additives, making it more suitable for silage modulation.
