Effects of a new alternative feed additive chlorogenic acid on aquatic animals
Chlorogenic acid is one of the abundant phenolic compounds in plants,which has important functions such as improving antioxidant capacity,enhancing immunity,regulating lipid metabolism,promoting growth and development,and maintaining the health of the body.Therefore,chlorogenic acid,as a new green feed additive,has a broad application prospect.Based on the review of domestic and international literature,this paper outlines the effects of chlorogenic acid in feed on growth performance,muscle quality,immune function,antioxidant capacity and lipid metabolism of aquatic animals,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the wide application of chlorogenic acid in aquatic compound feeds.
