Effect of bacillus subtilis on growth performance, immune function, gut microbiota and meat quality of fattening pigs
In order to study the effects of Bacillus subtilis on the growth performance, immune function, gut microbiota and meat quality of fattening pigs,160 fattening pigs(weighing 59.35±0.53 kg)were divided into 4 groups, with 40 pigs in each group, each group has 4 replicates, with 10 pigs in each replicate, the control group, addition group Ⅰ,addition group Ⅱ,and addition group Ⅲ were sequentially fed with a basal diet containing 0 mg/kg,500 mg/kg,1000 mg/kg,and 1500 mg/kg Bacillus subtilis. The results showed that compared with the control group, the three Bacillus subtilis addition groups had significant effects on final weight, average daily weight gain, feed to weight ratio,IgA content,IgG content,Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia col(P<0.05).The 1000 mg/kg and 1500 mg/kg addition groups of Bacillus subtilis had significant effects on Lactobacillus,Salmonella,pH24 h value, shear force, cooking loss rate and drip loss rate(P<0.05),the optimal effect is achieved by adding a dose of 1000 mg/kg.It indicated that Bacillus subtilis can improve the growth performance, immune function, gut microbiota and meat quality of fattening pigs, with the optimal effect achieved at a dosage of 1000 mg/kg.
