The effect of fermented corn protein powder on the growth performance, immune organ index, and intestinal tissue morphology of broiler chickens
To analyze the effects of fermented corn protein powder on the growth performance, immune organ index, and intestinal tissue morphology of broiler chickens. The experiment focused on 1-day AA broiler chickens and divided them into 4 groups. The control group was designed with a basic diet according to the Chicken Feeding Standards, while the other 3 groups were added with 10%,20%,and 30% fermented corn protein powder under equal nitrogen conditions. Each group had 5 replicates, with 10 chickens per replicate, totaling 200 chickens. The test lasted for 21 days. The results showed that,(1)When the addition level of fermented corn protein powder was 20%,the final weight of broiler chickens significantly increased by 8.29% (P<0.05),the average daily weight gain significantly increased by 8.90% (P<0.05),and the feed to weight ratio significantly decreased by 8.67% (P<0.05).(2)Different levels of fermented corn protein powder significantly increased the thymus index and bursal index of broiler chickens(P<0.05).(3)Different levels of fermented corn protein powder significantly increased the villus height and villus to fat ratio(P<0.05)in the duodenum of broiler chickens,as well as the villus height and villus to fat ratio(P<0.05)in the ileum. Conclusion:Adding fermented corn protein powder to the basic diet can improve the growth performance and immune organ index of broilers, improve intestinal tissue morphology, and the best effect is achieved when the addition level of fermented corn protein powder is 20% .
