Research progress on probiotics regulating lipid metabolism in pigs
Probiotics are a type of active microorganisms that are beneficial to the body.Excessive fat deposition in the body of pigs can lead to a decrease in lean meat percentage, which affects the growth performance and feed utilization efficiency of pigs.Probiotics can regulate body lipid metabolism by regulating gut microbiota, inhibiting harmful bacterial growth, promoting nutrient absorption and utilization, and have great potential in treating lipid metabolism diseases. This article reviewed the regulation of intestinal microbiota and its metabolites by probiotics to improve lipid metabolism, aimed to provide reference for the further application of probiotics and assistance in the diagnosis and treatment of fat metabolism related diseases in pigs.
