Astragalus membranaceus is one of the most commonly used traditional Chinese medicinal materials,which is widely used in modern livestock and poultry breeding as an immunopotentiator,and has the functions of anti-oxidation,anti-tumor,anti-stress,etc.,it has a broad development prospect in feed additives.In this paper,the application of Chinese herbal medicine feed additives based on Astragalus membranaceus and its compatibility in animal husbandry and breeding were reviewed.
