Effects of different feeding methods on estrus rate, blood biochemical indexes and reproductive hormones of yaks in the same period
The effects of reproductive hormones and serum biochemical indexes of the female yak were investigated. In this experiment,45 healthy female yaks were selected and divided into three groups,15 of which were house feeding, grazing+supplementary feeding and grazing+no supplementary feeding. The grazing+non-feeding group was the control group for 3 months;the difference of reproductive hormone concentrations of P4,E2,LH and FSH in yaks were determined by ELISA,and the difference in biochemical indexes in serum were analyzed. The results showed that after 3 months of feeding under different feeding methods, the yak Estrus was significantly higher than grazing+non-feeding group(P<0.05),the grazing+supplementary feeding group was significantly higher than grazing+no-feeding group(P<0.05),and the grazing+supplementary feeding group was significantly higher than grazing+non-feeding group(P<0.05).The glucose, albumin and globulin in serum were significantly higher than grazing group(P<0.01);the total protein and grain grass transaminase in yak serum were significantly higher than grazing group. The study shows that the supply of nutrition affects the basic levels of progesterone, estrogen,LH and FSH,and the fattening method of house feeding can not only enhance the disease resistance, but also improve the growth, development and reproductive performance.
