Effects of low protein diet supplemented with guanidine acetic acid on performance, egg quality and liver lipid metabolism of laying hens
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of supplementing guanylacetic acid with low protein diets on the production performance, egg quality, and liver lipid metabolism of laying hens.800 Beijing white laying hens are divided into 4 groups, with 5 replicates in each group, and 40 chickens per replicate. Each experimental group was fed with experimental feed supplemented with 0,300,and 600 mg/kg guanidinoacetic acid on the basis of low protein feed. The experiment lasted for 9 weeks, including 1 week of pre trial and 8 weeks of regular trial.Compared with the control group, the egg production rate of the low protein diet supplemented with 0 and 300 mg/kg GCC group was significantly reduced by 3.56% and 3.66% (P<0.05);The feed to egg ratio significantly increased by 3.02% and 2.59% (P<0.05);The rate of defective eggs significantly increased by 3.71% and 2.52% (P<0.05);There was no significant difference in egg production rate, feed to egg ratio, and defective egg rate between the low protein diet supplemented with 600 mg/kg GCC group and the control group(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the eggshell strength of the low protein diet supplemented with 0 and 300 mg/kg GCC groups was significantly reduced(P<0.05);In each group of low protein diets,as the amount of GCC added increased, the protein height and Hasselblad unit significantly increased(P<0.05),but still lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the expression level of FAS gene in the liver of laying hens in the low protein diet supplemented with 0 and 300 mg/kg GCC groups was significantly reduced(P<0.05);Low protein diet supplemented with 0-600 mg/kg GCC group layer liver PPAR α The gene expression level significantly decreased(P<0.05);In the low protein diet groups, with the increase of GCC addition, the expression level of LXRa gene in the liver of laying hens significantly increased(P<0.05),but it was still lower than the control group(P<0.05).In summary, supplementing GCC has a certain positive impact on the production performance and egg quality of laying hens fed with a low protein diet, with a dose of 600 mg/kg having the best effect.
