Comparison analysis of volatile compositions in different parts of Glechoma longituba from different origins based on GC-MS coupled technology
Based on the scarcity of research on Glechoma longituba from different origins, this study aimed to investigate the differences of volatile components in the stems and leaves of G lechoma longituba from different origins, extract the volatile components by water vapor distillation, and analyze the differences of their components by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),principal component analysis(PCA),cluster analysis(CA),and cluster analysis(CA).GC-MS,PCA,CA were used to analyze the differences in the compositions. From the GC-MS data,63,46,65,38,64 and 27 extracted volatile components were identified in Anhui leaves,Anhui stems,Jiangsu leaves,Jiangsu stems,Henan leaves and Henan stems, respectively, with a total of 105 identified,12,3,9,1,15 and 3 endemic components, respectively, and 15 volatile components shared by all.Comparison of the content of volatile components in the leaves of Glechoma longituba from different origins did not reveal any consistently prominent compounds, while the content of palmitic acid was clearly prominent in the stems of Glechoma longituba from different origins.Cluster analysis showed that the volatile substances of stems from Suzhou and Yu were more similar, while there were some differences with stems from Anhui. The results showed that the volatile components and contents of Glechoma longituba stems and leaves from different places of origin differed to some extent, with both common and specific components, among which palmitic acid content was particularly prominent. The results of this study may provide reference for further medicinal use of Glechoma longituba, development of feed industry and treatment of livestock diseases and discovery of more pharmacological activities.
