The effect of composite probiotics on biochemical indicators and immune performance of beef cattle
To study the effects of adding Astragalus polysaccharides to the diet on the growth performance, immune function, and antioxidant function of beef cattle,50 healthy and similar age and weight Simmental cows were selected and randomly divided into 5 groups, with 10 cows in each group. Each group added 0,1.0,1.5,2.0,and 2.5 g/kg of Astragalus polysaccharides to the basic diet, with a formal experiment of 30 days. The results showed that adding astragalus polysaccharides to the feed had no significant effect on the growth performance of beef cattle(P>0.05);The addition of Astragalus polysaccharides in groups 3,4,and 5 significantly increased the levels of immune performance indicators IgA,IgM,IgG,IL-2,as well as the activities of antioxidant indicators CAT,SOD,GSH Px,and T-AOC in beef cattle(P<0.05),while the content of MDA was significantly reduced(P<0.05);There were no significant differences(P>0.05)in the levels of immune performance indicators IgA,IgM,IgG,IL-2,and antioxidant indicators CAT,SOD,GSH Px,and T-AOC activity between groups 4 and 5 of the experiment. In summary, astragalus polysaccharides can effectively improve the immune performance, and it is advisable to add 2.0 g/kg of astragalus polysaccharides of beef cattle.
