Effects of dihydroartemisinin on growth performance, liver biochemical indicators and immune indicators of weaned piglets
The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of dihydroartemisinin on the growth performance, liver biochemical indicators and immune indicators of weaned piglets.A total of 200 weaned piglets aged 21 days,of similar weight, and healthy were selected and divided into 4 groups by random grouping, with 5 replicates in each group and 10 piglets in each replicate. One group was set as the control.Group 1 was fed a basal diet, and the remaining 3 groups were set as experimental groups and fed basal diets supplemented with dihydroartemisinin at different levels, among which the dihydroartemisinin added in groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ was tested They were 40mg/kg,80mg/kg,and 160mg/kg respectively, and a 28-day experiment was conducted. The results showed that:(1)Compared with the control group, the average daily feed intake and average daily weight gain of piglets in the experimental group were significantly higher, and the feed-to-weight ratio was significantly lower. In particular, all indicators of the experimental group 2 were significantly better. The difference between the groups was significant(P<0.05);(2)Compared to the control group, the experimental group of piglets exhibited significantly higher levels of TP,with a notable intergroup difference(P<0.05).In contrast to the control group, the experimental group Ⅲ showed significantly elevated levels of AST,TBIL,and AKP,demonstrating a significant intergroup difference(P<0.05);(3)Compared with the control group, the levels of IL-10 and IgG in the experimental group were significantly higher, and the difference between the groups was significant.(P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the IL-4 levels in test group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ were significantly higher, and the difference between the groups was significant(P<0.05).Based on the indicators measured in this experiment, adding dihydroartemisinin to the diet of weaned piglets not only promoted the growth performance of the piglets to a certain extent, improved their liver function, but also helped to improve the piglets'immunity.
