Comparative analysis of body composition of catfish(Silurus asotus)in different geographical populations
Three wild catfish populations in Heilongjiang(P1),Yellow River(P2)and Yangtze River(P3)were compared and analyzed the contents of water, crude protein, crude fat, crude ash, amino acid and fatty acid in back muscle. The results showed that the main nutrients exist differences among three different geographical populations. The contents of crude protein, crude fat, total amino acid(TAA)and essential amino acid(EAA)in back muscle were significantly different among different populations(P<0.05),which present gradually increased from north to south. The proportions of essential amino acids in total amino acids(EAA/TAA)were both higher(40%)than the ideal model value of FAO/WHO,and also gradually increased from north to south(P1<P2<P3).The proportions of four flavoring amino acids(DAA)in total amino content(DAA/TAA)were decreased from north to south(P1>P2>P3).The results of amino acid score(AAS),chemical score(CS)and essential amino acid index(EAAI)analysis showed that the nutrient contents of three populations both were abundant but there were differences. The comparative analysis of the main body components in different catfish populations could provide basic data for the study of nutrient requirements of catfish, and also provide reference for the genetic diversity evaluation of catfish germplasm resources.
