Cotton meal is an unconventional plant protein raw material. Although it has a high content of crude protein and a rich variety of amino acids,the presence of anti nutritional factors such as gossypol,cyclopropene fatty acids,tannins,and phytic acid greatly limits the nutritional value of cotton meal. In this regard,this article combines previous research results to analyze the composition detection of cottonseed meal,and elaborates on the application progress of cottonseed meal in animal breeding from several aspects such as ruminant animal,chicken,and pig breeding,in order to provide reference and guidance for the promotion and application of cottonseed meal.
