The effect of adding astragalus polysaccharides to feed on the growth performance, apparent digestibility of nutrients, and economic benefits of fattening pigs
The article aims to explore the effects of adding astragalus polysaccharides to the diet on the growth performance, nutrient digestion, and economic benefits of fattening pigs.200 healthy, healthy, and average weight(34.2±0.9)kg Du Chang ternary hybrid pigs were randomly divided into 4 groups for the experiment, with 10 replicates in each group and 5 pigs per replicate. The experimental diets were supplemented with 0%,0.1%,0.2%,and 0.3%Astragalus polysaccharides(AP)in the basal diet, respectively. The results showed that compared with the control group, the 0.3%AP group significantly increased the final weight of fattened pigs by 3.97%(P<0.05),and significantly reduced the feed to meat ratio by 4.95%(P<0.05).At 28 days, the apparent digestibility of crude protein, crude fat,and energy in the 0.3%AP group of fattening pigs significantly increased(P<0.05).At 56 days, the apparent digestibility of energy in the 0.3%AP group of fattening pigs significantly increased(P<0.05).At 84 days, the apparent digestibility of dry matter in the 0.3%AP group of fattening pigs significantly increased(P<0.05).The feed unit prices for each group in this experiment were 3.07,3.14,3.20,and 3.26 yuan/kg,and the feed costs were 701.10,714.22,736.90,and 748.37 yuan, respectively. The gross profits were 701.08,677.94,717.47,and 732.28 yuan, respectively.Among them, the feed cost of the 0.3%AP group significantly increased by 6.74%(P<0.05)compared to the control group, and the gross profit significantly increased by 4.45%(P<0.05).Conclusion:AP can promote the growth and development of fattening pigs by increasing their apparent digestibility of nutrients, and improve their breeding gross profit.A dosage of 0.3%is more effective.
