The effects of pachymaran on the growth performance, serum biochemical indicators, and antioxidant indicators of lactating lambs
Explore the effects of Pachymaran(PM)on the growth performance, serum biochemical indicators, and antioxidant indicators of lactating lambs.80 10 day old lake lambs were randomly divided into 4 groups, with 5 replicates in each group and 4 lambs per replicate. They were fed with experimental feed supplemented with 0,40,80,and 160 mg/kg PM in the basic feed for a total of 52 days. The results showed that compared with the control group, the PM groups at 80 and 160 mg/kg effectively increased the final weight of lambs by 5.66%and 7.82%,respectively(P<0.05);The daily weight gain of lambs in the PM group at 160 mg/kg was effectively upregulated by 10.14%(P<0.05);The feed to meat ratio decreased by 5.62%and 8.23%respectively(P<0.05),and no effective effect of PM on lamb feed intake was observed(P>0.05).The serum TP content of lambs in the 160 mg/kg PM group significantly increased(P<0.05),while the serum ALB,GLU,and GH content of lambs in the 80 and 160 mg/kg PM groups significantly increased(P<0.05).The serum BUN content of lambs in the 80 and 160 mg/kg PM groups significantly decreased(P<0.05).The T-AOC ability and GSH content in the serum of lambs in the 160 mg/kg PM group significantly increased(P<0.05),while the GSSG content significantly decreased(P<0.05).The MDA content in the serum of lambs in the 80 and 160 mg/kg PM groups significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the GSH Px activity significantly increased(P<0.05).Conclusion:Supplementing with PM(160 mg/kg)promotes the growth and development of lambs by enhancing their metabolic efficiency and antioxidant capacity.
