Research Progress on Targeted and Non-targeted Analysis of Hormonal Components in Cosmetics
Hormones, employed clinically for treating, systemic lupus erythematosus and other autoimmune diseases, demonstrate anti-inflammatory effects when applied to the skin.However,long-term exposure of hormones to human skin can lead to adverse reactions posing health risks. The Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics(2015 edition)has released a method for detecting 63 hormonal components in cosmetics.Nevertheless, there is evidence of businesses modifying existing hormone structures to synthesize new compounds, evading regulatory oversight. This paper reviews targeted and non-targeted detection methods for illegally added hormonal components in cosmetics, aiming to provide technical support and references for the monitoring of cosmetic quality, safety and the regulation of illegal additives.
