Research on smart regulation of food safety is gaining momentum.However,the research roadmap focusing on technical and instrumental attributes is slightly limited,which fails to explain the transformative phenomenon and practical logic of food safety in China in the new era,necessitating an expansion of research approaches and methods.Based on the current research status of smart regulation at home and abroad,this paper constructs an analytical framework for smart regulation of food safety in China.Drawing from the evolution of regulation and trends in government regulatory reform,the framework encompasses four dimensions:"space","institution","instrument",and"assessment".It elucidates the theoretical basis,historical trajectory,and practical mechanisms of smart regulation of food safety,aiming to meet the theoretical needs of ongoing market regulation system reforms and respond to the practical challenges faced by food safety regulation.
