The complexity of drug use,as a special commodity,makes risk management highly challenging.The newly revised Drug Administration Law clearly stipulates risk management as a core principle of drug administration to ensure public safety in medication use.This paper comprehensively reviews the research and practical exploration of drug use risk management,discussing its connotations and applications in medical institutions.It emphasizes the responsibilities of medical institutions in this process and proposes the establishment of a comprehensive risk management system,covering early warning,systematic evaluation,scientific prevention,effective communication,and overall evaluation from drug selection and procurement to patient usage.What is more,the paper outlines future development directions for the evolution of drug use risk management,including the use of real-world data,data mining,and artificial intelligence to further advance the scientific and systematic approach of drug use risk management,promoting the high-quality development of the healthcare system.
