With the accumulation of medical big data and the development of information technology,the application of Real-World Data(RWD)in the pharmaceutical field has become increasingly widespread.This article discusses the recent application of RWD in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)research,covering pre-market research,post-market evaluations,clinical applications,economic and pharmacological studies.It also analyzes the challenges faced in TCM real-world studies in terms of research directions,data integration,analytical methods,and research teams.The study provides an outlook on the development of RWD in TCM research,aiming to offer new insights and methods for the innovation and development of TCM research.
