Research progress in application of aerogel in flame retardant field
This paper reviewed the research progress in the application of silicone-aerogels,organic aerogels,and carbon aerogels in the flame-retardant field.The characteristics of aerogels and corresponding flame-retardant modification tech-nologies as well as their effects on the flame retardancy of materials were summarized.The advantages,disadvantages,and future development trend of various aerogels are discussed.
