Study on barrier and flame-retardant performance of chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol)/gelatin composite films
Chitosan(CS)was mixed uniformly with poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)and gelatin(GEL)at different mass ra-tios,and the resulting solution was dumped onto a plexiglass plate by using a solution-casting method to obtain a series of CS/PVA/GEL blend films. The structure of the blend films was characterized by infrared spectrogram analysis,ultravi-olet spectrum analysis, water contact angle, and so on.Their thermal stability, flame retardancy, oxygen permeability, preservation, mechanical properties were investigated. The results indicated that the blend films exhibited the best com-prehensive performance at a CS/PVA/GEL mass ratio of 10/3/7.
