Relationship Between Empirical Dietary Inflammation Index and Disease and Inflammatory Status in Elderly Patients with Coronary Heart Disease
[Objective]To investigate the relationship between empirical dietary inflammation index and the disease and inflammatory state of elderly patients with coronary heart disease.[Method]Totally 45 elderly patients with coronary heart disease admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the case group, and 30 healthy subjects were selected as the control group dur-ing the same period. The patients were further evaluated according to Gensini score and divided into mild group, moderate group and severe group.IL-6,IL-10,CTP,CatK,MMP-2,MMP-9 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),TNF-α was detected by dual-antibody ELISA,and hs-CRP was detected by immunoscattering turbidimetry.eDII score, inflammatory factors and Gensini score were compared among different groups, and the correlation between eDII and disease and inflammatory state was analyzed.[Result]eDII,inflammatory factors(TNF-α,hs-CRP,IL-6,IL-10)in case group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).There were statisti-cally significant differences in eDII,inflammatory factors(TNF-α,hs-CRP,IL-6,IL-10)and Gensini scores among the three groups in severe group(P<0.05),the highest in severe group, followed by moderate group, and the lowest in mild group. The plaque stability related indexes(CTP,CatK,MMP-2,MMP-9)of the three groups were significantly different(P<0.05),and the severe group was the highest, followed by the moderate group, and the mild group was the lowest.Correlation analysis showed that eDII was positively correlated with plaque stability and inflammatory factors in elderly patients with coronary heart disease(P<0.05).[Conclusion]High eDII value is as-sociated with higher levels of inflammatory factors and Gensini score, suggesting the influence of dietary inflammation on the development and inflammatory status of CHD.Adjusting diet to reduce dietary inflammation index may help improve the disease and inflammatory status of elderly patients with CHD.
