Relationship Between Dietary Pattern and Negative Mood and Nutritional Status in Elderly Patients with Chronic Heart Failure
[Objective]To investigate the relationship between dietary pattern and negative emotion and nutritional status in elderly patients with chronic heart failure.[Method]Elderly patients with chronic heart failure diagnosed in our hospital from February 2021 to January 2023 and receiving regular nutritional consultation in the nutrition department were selected for questionnaire survey, physical examination and laboratory testing, and dietary patterns were extracted by factor analysis.Multivariate Logistic regression model was used to analyze the relationship between dietary pattern and negative mood and nutritional status.[Result]Four dietary patterns were obtained by factor analysis, namely egg, milk and fruit pattern, meat pattern, vegetarian pattern and staple food pattern, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 41.66%.After adjusting for relevant confounding factors,it was found that the high level of meat eating pattern was a risk factor for anxiety and depression[(OR=2.38,95%CI:1.26-4.51),(OR=2.22,95%CI:1.15-4.83),while high level of vegetar-ian diet was a protective factor for hyperuricemia[(OR=0.51,95%CI:0.28-0.97),(OR=0.43,95%CI:0.23—0.88)].High level of vegetarian diet was a risk factor for malnutrition(OR=2.49,95%CI:1.33~4.78),and high level of meat consumption was a protective factor for malnutrition(OR=0.63,95%CI:0.31~0.82).Anxiety,depression and nutritional status of elderly patients with chronic heart failure are closely related to dietary patterns,so it is necessary to actively promote healthy dietary patterns.
