Comparative Analysis on Tea Industry Development Status and Competitiveness of Major Tea Producing Provinces in Southwest China
[Objective]Southwest China is the important region of China's tea industry,and the tea industry is also the important agricultural industry in Southwest China.It has the great significance for the high-quality development of the industry to evaluate the competitiveness of Yunnan,Guizhou and Sichuan,the three major tea producing provinces.[Method]This paper combed the current situa-tion of tea industry development in the three provinces from the aspects of tea production,industrial structure,economic benefits and export trade,and used the resource endowment coefficient,display comparative advantage index and comprehensive comparative advantage index to assess the tea industry competitiveness of Yunnan,Guizhou and Sichuan.[Result]The results showed that Yunnan,Guizhou and Sichuan had strong resource endowment,industrial scale advantage and comprehensive comparative advantage,however,there was a problem of insufficient relative export,and the comparative advantages of Guizhou and Sichuan in production efficiency are insufficient.[Conclusion]Based on the quantitative analysis of the development and competitiveness of the tea industry in Yunnan,Guizhou and Sichuan provinces,countermeasures and suggestions are given from the aspects of continuously strengthening the support and development of the tea industry,improving the competitiveness of the international trade of tea,and promoting the high-quality development of the tea industry.
