Effects of ω-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid Combined with Coenzyme Q10 on Blood Lipid Intervention in Mild Hyperlipidemia:Aclinical Randomized Controlled Study
[Objective]To observe the effects of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid(ω-3PUFA)combined with coenzyme Q10 on the levels of blood lipid,antioxidant and inflammation in mild hyperlipidemia.[Method]A total of 90 patients with mild hyperlipidemia in the First Medical Center of PLA General Hospital were randomly divided into ω-3PUFA combined with coenzyme Q10 group(Group A)and control group(group B)by a randomized,controlled prospective study method.45 patients in each group were treated for 3 months.Both groups were given a low-salt and low-fat diet and exercise guidance.Group A was supplemented with ω-3 PUFA(2 capsules 3 times/day)and coenzyme Q10(2 capsules 2 times/day).The effects of major nutrients intake,anthropometric indices,changes in body composition,blood biochemistry,antioxidant and inflammatory levels were compared between the two groups before and after intervention,respectively.[Result]A total of 82 patients completed the study(group A=42 and group B=40).There was no significant difference between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in nutrient intake,anthropometry and body composition between the two groups before and after intervention(P>0.05).After the intervention,there were no significant differences in liver and kidney function indicators,protein level,bilirubin and lipid level between the two groups(P>0.05),but compared with the difference before and after the intervention(Δ=end-start),it was found that the decrease levels of ΔTC,ΔLDL-C and Δ non-HDL-C in group A were significantly higher than those in group B(P<0.05).The level of ΔMDA in group A was significantly higher than that in group B(P<0.05),and the level of inflammation index was not significantly different(P>0.05).[Conclusion]Supplementation of ω-3 PUFA and coenzyme Q10 in mild hyperlipidemia has no adverse effect on liver and kidney function,can improve lipid and antioxidant levels,and play a role in reducing the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
