Study on The Protective Effect of Enteromorpha Prolifera Polysaccharides on High-Fat Diet Mice
[Objective]To study the protective effect of Enteromorpha prolifera polysaccharides on hyperlipidemia mice by establish-ing a high-fat diet mouse model.[Method]Totally 60 healthy adult Swiss male mice were randomly divided into normal group, model group,Simvastatin group,Enteromorpha prolifera polysaccharide high, medium and low dose groups. The normal group was given regular beverages, while the other groups were fed with high-fat feed for 42 days.Enteromorpha prolifera polysaccharide group was given 300mg/kg,200mg/kg,100mg/kg by gavage,Simvastatin group was given 3mg/kg,normal group and model group were given the same volume of normal saline once a day. After the test, total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C),High-density lipoprotein(HDL-C),Alanine transaminase(ALT),aspartate Transaminase(AST),Alkaline phosphatase(ALP),total protein(TP),albumin(ALB),total bilirubin(T-bil-V),and direct bilirubin(D-bil-V)in the serum were detected.[Result]Enteromorpha prolifera polysaccharides could significantly reduce body mass and liver index in high-fat diet mice, reduce serum levels of TC,TG,LDL-C,ALT,AST,T-bil-V,and increase HDL-C levels.[Conclusion]Enteromorpha polysaccharides can significantly reduce the blood lipid levels in the serum of mice on a high-fat diet and improve liver function.
