A Large-Scale Retrospective Study on Food-specific IgG Antibodies for Food Intolerance in Children from Hebei Provincein 2010-2019
[Objective]To analyze the distribution characteristics of 14 food-specific IgG antibodies in children in Hebei province.[Method]From 2010 to 2019,ELISA was used to measure 14 food-specific IgG antibodies in children's serum in Hebei province and the data was analyzed thoroughly.A total of 31 312 children aged 0 to 14 years were included in the study.[Result]The highest IgG positivity rate was found for eggs(57.13%)and the lowest for pork(1.95%)in the study cohort.Over half of the children analyzed showed intoler-ance to two or more types of food.The positivity rates of different food items fluctuated yearly,with similar trends for tomatoes and wheat.Intolerance varied significantly by gender and age.Females and younger children had higher intolerance rates.[Conclusion]Children in Hebei province showed various levels of 14 food-specific IgG antibodies based on age and gender,highlighting the need for personalized diet plans to prevent chronic diseases.
