Study on The Use of High-Glutamine Nutritional Support in COPD Patients with Sarcopenia
[Objective]To observe the effect of high-glutamine nutritional support in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)myasthenia gravis.[Method]Totally 90 cases of COPD myasthenia gravis patients admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the study population, and were divided into two groups using the random number table method, with 45 cases in a single group. The conventional group was treated with conventional nutritional support and the intensive group was treated with high glutamine nutritional support. The changes of limb skeletal muscle mass index(ASMI),grip strength, nutritional indicators, modified falls effectiveness scale(M-FES)score,quality of life(SF-36)score in the two groups were compared, and statistically calculate the incidence of nutritional complications in the two groups.[Result]Comparison of ASMI and grip strength before treatment between the two groups showed no difference(P>0.05).ASMI and grip strength were higher in both groups after treatment than before treatment, and ASMI and grip strength were higher in the intensive group after treatment than in the conventional group(P<0.05).Comparison of nutritional indicators before treatment in the two groups showed no difference(P>0.05).Albumin,prealbumin,haemoglobin and nitrogen balance were higher in both groups after treatment than before treatment, and nutritional indexes were higher in the intensive group after treatment than in the conventional group(P<0.05).There was no difference in M-FES score and SF-36 score before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).M-FES scores and SF-36 scores were higher in both groups after treatment than before treatment, and M-FES scores and SF-36 scores were higher in the intensive group after treatment than in the conventional group(P<0.05).The incidence of vomiting, pressure ulcer, aspiration pneumonia, gastric retention, diarrhoea, and refeeding syndrome in the intensive group was 24.44%,11.11%,11.11%,13.33%,35.56%,and 28.89%,respectively,which were lower than that of the conventional group, and there was a difference between the two groups(P<0.05).[Conclusion]High-glutamine nutritional support for patients with COPD myasthenia gravis improves the nutritional status of the organism, improves ASMI and grip strength, reduces the risk of falls, improves quality of life, and reduces nutritional complications.
