[Objective]To investigate the current status of the construction and application of nutrient-rich food index,and to provide reference for the establishment of nutrient-rich food index suitable for China.[Method]Through literature search,keywords were retrieved from PubMed,CNKI and Wanfang databases,and the construction and application of nutrient-rich food index were summarized.[Result]The construction of nutrient-rich food index has formed a set of scientific procedures,which has been widely verified in foreign countries and applied to evaluate the nutritional value of food and dietary quality,while the related studies in China were limited.[Conclusion]It is necessary to learn from the advanced experience of foreign countries to carry out the verification research of nutrient-rich food index.
