Evaluation on Nut Intake in Chinese Adult Residents and Its Influencing Factors Analysis
[Objective]To investigate the current situation of nut intake of Chinese adult residents and analyze its related influencing factors.[Methods]From March to April 2023,questionnaire stars were used to investigate the residents'cognition on the nutritional value, health effects and recommended intake of nuts, consumption behaviors such as frequency, intake and purchasing route of nuts, and social psychological determinants such as self-description,action cues and social norms. On the basis of single factor analysis, multiple Logistic regression model was used to explore the main factors affecting residents'nut intake behavior.[Result]A total of 3 046 questionnaires were received from 31 provinces and cities, and 3 029 eligible questionnaires(mainly aged 26-45)meeting the inclusion criteria were selected for analysis. The results showed that the average intake of nuts in Chinese adult residents was 77.6 g/w.The proportion of insufficient intake(less than 50 g/w),recommended intake(50-70 g/w)and excessive intake(more than 70 g/w)was 45.3%,9.8%and 44.8%,respectively.The awareness rates of nutritive value, recommended intake and health effects of nuts were 25.2%,25.4%and 26.4%,respectively.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age, gender, knowledge of the recommended intake of nuts, and"good taste"of nuts were the main factors affecting the intake of nuts(P<0.05).[Conclusion]Adult residents in our country coexist with insuf-ficient and excessive consumption of nuts.Education on the recommended amount of nuts in dietary guidelines should be strengthened ac-cording to the characteristics of different consumers to guide residents to consume nuts correctly.
