Enlightenment of Four Basic Plan for the Promotion of Shokuiku Development Experiences of Japan on the Food Education of China
[Objective]Food is the foundation of governance,and grain security ensures the stability of the nation. Currently,China is at a critical stage of high-quality agricultural development and the upgrading of dietary structure for urban and rural residents. Enhancing the research on food education not only helps to promote the cultivation of healthy eating habits and to improve dietary nutrition structure among residents of all ages in China,to reduce food waste,but also serves as an important manner to facilitate the transformation and upgrading of the food system and ensure the high-quality development of sustainable green agriculture.[Method]This article analyzed the background,evolution,basic practices,and major achievements of the "Four Basic Plans for Promoting of Shokuiku of Japan". Based on the evaluation and analysis of current situation in China,it summarized experience,insights,and policy recommendations that were in line with China's national conditions.[Result and Conclusion]China need to strengthen top-level design,to enrich the content of food educa-tion,to regularly assess the effectiveness of food education,to build a green food education system that is compatible with the transformation and upgrading of the food system,and to adopt fiscal and other financial measures with increased government investment.
