Research Progress on Food Allergy Prevalence and Prognosis in Children
[Objective]To understand the prevalence of food allergy in children at home and abroad,and the impact of prognostic outcomes on children's growth and development.[Method]Relevant literature was searched from China Knowledge Network,Wanfang,PubMed and other databases to extract relevant information on food allergy in children and summarize it.[Result]The prevalence of food al-lergy in children at home and abroad,the prevalence of major allergenic foods and multiple foods and their prognostic outcomes were sum-marized.[Conclusion]The prevalence of food allergy in children reported by different diagnostic modalities at different ages varied. Cow's milk and egg were the most important allergenic foods in children. Cow's milk and egg tolerance develops earlier,and multiple food aller-gies and peanuts,nuts,and seafood are of greater concern in children with persistent allergies or complications.
