Development Factors,Problems and Suggestions of Prepared Dishes Industry in China
[Objective]To summarize the development factors and existing problems of prepared dishes industry in China,and provide policy recommendations for guiding the healthy and orderly development of prepared dishes industry.[Method]Based on existing literature,reports,and policies and regulations,this paper sorts out the development background of Chinese prepared dishes industry,describes its current development status,and points out its existing problems.[Result]Driven by the demand of catering enterprises and consumers,and supported by policies,technologies,sales channels and other environmental factors,the prepared dishes industry has embraced development opportunities during the COVID-19 epidemic and has rapidly risen in our country in recent years. At present,Chinese prepared dishes industry is still in the primary stage of development. Its development presents characteristics of steady growth in market size,low market penetration rate,being dominated by business market,and fierce industry competition. At the same time,there are also some problems such as an incomplete standard system,difficulty in ensuring food safety and nutrition,and the need to improve consumer awareness and recognition.[Conclusion]In order to promote the healthy and orderly development of Chinese prepared dishes industry,it is necessary to improve the standard system,strengthen supervision mechanism,promote product development and technologi-cal innovation,and strengthen the publicity and consumer education of prepared dishes.
