Research Progress on NSP2 Gene of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus
Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome is a severe infectious disease caused by Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV).Non-structural protein 2(NSP2)encodes a multifunction protein that has a wide range of biological effects. This paper reviews NSP2 genetic variation, interactions with its own proteins and host proteins, effects on virus replication, toxicity, cell phagocytosis, regulation of host immunity and application in vaccine research and provides an important theoretical basis for further study of PRRSV pathogenic mechanism and vaccine design.
