Biological effects of Ykt6 protein from Haemaphysalis longicornis for anti-infection of Theileria orientalis
In order to understand the biological effects of Ykt6 gene on the infection of Theileria orientalis in Haemaphysalis longicornis, this study evaluated the biological effects of Ykt6 protein for survival rate of ticks, and the reproduction rate, infection rate against H.longicornis during the infection process of T.orientalis between wild and cultured H.longicornis.The results showed that the Ykt6 gene was involved in the host parasite interaction between T.orientalis and H.longicornis.The expression level of the Ykt6 gene was closely related to the survival and reproductive ability of the T.orientalis in H.longicornis.When the expression level of this gene decreases, the survival rate and reproductive ability of the T.orientalis significantly decrease.Further research found that the variation of the Ykt6 gene may affect the interaction between T.orientalis and H.longicornis.Some individuals in the wild had mutations in the Ykt6 gene, leading to a significant decrease in the survival and reproductive ability of the T.orientalis in the tick. This discovery suggested that the variation of the Ykt6 gene may be a key factor in the invasion of H.longicornis by T.orientalis.In summary, the Ykt6 gene has a signi-ficant impact on the invasion of H.longicornis by the T.orientalis.By studying the function and variation of the Ykt6 gene,it is possible to gain a deeper understanding of the interaction between T.orientalis and H.longicornis, providing new ideas and methods for controlling the invasion of T.orientalis.This will help to protect human and animal health and balance the ecological environment.
