Research progress on the influencing factors and evaluation methods of cutting,grinding and polishing perfor-mance of dental zirconia ceramics
Zirconia ceramic materials closely mimic the color of natural teeth,exhibiting high strength,toughness,and biocompatibility.These properties significantly reduce patients'chairside time,positioning them as crucial elements in oral restoration.Cutting,grinding,and polishing represent pivotal steps in the fabrication and processing of zirconia ce-ramic restorations.The cutting,grinding and polishing performance are critical indicators for determining their suitability for large-scale clinical application.However,there is currently a lack of standardized evaluation criteria.This article of-fers a comprehensive review of research progress concerning the influencing factors and evaluation methods of cutting,grinding,and polishing performance of dental zirconia ceramics.The aim is to enhance the reproducibility of test results for zirconia ceramic samples and provide eviclence for establishing evaluation standards for the processability of zirconia ceramics.
