Application and thinking of inquiry-based learning method in orthodontics teaching
Orthodontics is highly professional,very dependent on technology,and demands a high level of clinical judg-ment and overall excellence.The demands of contemporary society for the aesthetics of faces and teeth are steadily ris-ing,which means that orthodontics education must go from theoretical instruction to multidisciplinary,all-encompassing practice instruction.With the ongoing promotion of reform in medical teaching,the inquiry-based learning method,an open scientific teaching approach,plays a positive role in developing clinical thinking,enhancing teamwork,and increas-ing comprehensive ability.This paper analyzes the state of orthodontic education in China and proposes a new approach to teaching the subject,aiming to effectively increase students'enthusiasm for learning orthodontic theory and practice,improve their overall ability,and develop more skills that will allow them to adapt to orthodontic clinical practice and the advancement of the era.
