Research progress in oral microbial characteristics of patients with cleft lip and palate and their relationship with susceptible diseases
Patients with cleft lip and palate are susceptible population of tooth decay,periodontal disease,otitis media,upper and lower respiratory tract infection,and their health has gained wide attention.Oral microbiota plays an important role in the occurrence and development of susceptible diseases in patients with cleft lip and palate,and it also affects the prognosis of cleft lip and palate surgery and even the effect of sequential treatment.At present,the study has found cleft lip and palate patients,compared with healthy people,have obviously different oral microbial community composition,and the abundance of Streptococcus mutans,Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans is significantly higher than that of healthy people.It is of great significance to prevent and treat the susceptible diseases and postoperative infection of cleft lip and palate.This article reviews the research progress in the relationship of oral microbiota with cleft lip and pal-ate and susceptible diseases in patients with cleft lip and palate,so as to provide reference for clinical prevention and treatment of susceptible disease of cleft lip and palate and rational drug use.
