With the development of digital technology in dentistry,the diagnosis and treatment of endodontic diseases have gradually stepped into the digital era.In recent years,digital intraoral scanning technology has been progressing,and its application in the diagnosis and treatment of endodon-tic diseases is expanding day by day,especially in the diagno-sis and long-term monitoring of some dental diseases,which shows promising application prospects.In this paper,we sum-marize the studies on digital intraoral scanning technology in the diagnosis and monitoring of dental diseases,and outline the research progress and application status,with the aim of providing clues for future investigations.
