Research progress on the application of magnesium-based materials in oral biological barrier membrane
The ideal biological barrier membrane usually requires good biocompatibility,mechanical properties,maneu-verability and spatial maintenance,but the traditional biological barrier membrane can not meet the clinical needs of high mechanical strength and controllable degradation.A new type of biological barrier membrane material needs to be developed.Magnesium-based materials can be used as a new generation of biological barrier membrane materials be-cause of their good mechanical properties and biodegradability in human body,but they are still in the stage of research and exploration.This paper describes the advantages and disadvantages of magnesium-based materials in oral biological barrier membrane,so as to provide scientific basis for its clinical application.
