Effects of non-starch polysaccharide enzyme on growth performance, carcass traits and meat quality of growing-finishing pigs
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of non-starch polysaccharide enzyme on growth performance, carcass traits and meat quality of growing-finishing pigs..Forty-eight Duroc× Landrace× Yorkshire crossed piglets with an average body weight of 40 kg were divided into 2 groups with 3 replicates of 8 piglets each, male:female was 1 ∶ 1,incuding:control group (fed basal diet) and experiment group(0.6% non-starch polysaccharide enzyme in basal diet). The results showed as followed..(1) during the growth stage, the ADG and ADFI in the experiment group were significantly inproved and the F/G was decreased compared with the control group(P <0.05),ADG increasedby 9.8%,ADFI increased 4.7% and F/G decreased by 5% ; (2)in the carcass traits and nutrient component of the longissimus dorsi, the eye area muscle in the experiment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),increased by 9.8%,the drip loss and the shear force in the experiment group was decreased compared with the control group(P>0.05),decreased by 2.0% and 14.6%.In conclusion, the results indicate that dietary non-starch polysaccharide enzyme can enhance growth performce and improve meat quality of pigs.
