Effects of yeast-Se on serum enzyme activity and antioxidant capacity of laying hens
The experiment was conducted to study the effect of yeast-Se on serum enzyme activity and antioxidant capacity of laying hens. One thousand 280-day-old laying hens were randomly divided into 5 groups with 5 replications of 40 layers each. The control group was fed with the cornsoybean meal based diets, and other experimental groups was fed with the basic diets added with 0.1,0.2,0.3 and 0.4 mg/kg yeast-Se,respectively.The results showed that all experiment groups significantly increased the activity of ALP and LDH (P<0.05),meanwhile decrease the activity of CK (P<0.05);The activity of SOD in experimental groups added with 0.2 and 0.4 mg/kg yeastSe were significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05),and the activity of GSH-Px and T-AOC in all the experimental groups were significantly increased (P<0.05),the MDA level of all the groups added with yeast-Se were significantly lower than that of the control group. These results indicated that yeast-Se can increase serum antioxidant capacity of laying hens, and 0.3,0.4 mg/kg Yeast-Se may be optimal levels in diet for laying hens.
