Effects of different levels of calcium and available phosphorus on reproductive performance, serum markers and OPG-RANKL-RANK signal system of high-yielding Shenxian sows
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of calcium and available phosphorus from low level, recommended level to high level on reproductive performance, serum immune inde-xes,calcium and phosphorus hormone metabolism, bone metabolism and OPG-RANKL-RANK signaling system of high-yielding Shenxian lactating sows.A total of 45 healthy Shenxian sows, which were artificially inseminated with Duroc boars and had a total litter size of 11 or more, were randomly divided into five groups with nine replicates per group and one pig per replicate. The cal-cium content in the low level group was 0.55%,the available phosphorus content was 0.27%,the calcium content in the recommended group was 0.63%,the available phosphorus content was 0.31%,the calcium content in the high level group Ⅰ was 0.71%,the available phosphorus content was 0.35%,the calcium content in the high level group Ⅱ was 0.79%,the available phosphorus content was 0.39%,and the calcium content in the high level group Ⅲ was 0.87%.The available phosphorus content was 0.43%.The trial was conducted for 35 d.Compared with the recommended group, calcium and available phosphorus in high level group Ⅲ significantly reduced body weight loss and backfat loss(P<0.05),and the survival rate of piglets in high level group Ⅰ during lacta-tion was significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the recommended group, the immuno-globulin G level in the high level group Ⅲ was significantly lower, and the IgM content in the high level group Ⅱ was significantly higher than that in the low level group(P<0.05).Compared with the recommended group, the parathyroid hormone in the high level group Ⅱ was significantly de-creased(P<0.05);calcitonin in low level group decreased significantly(P<0.05),fibroblast growth factor 23 in high level group Ⅱ and Ⅲ increased significantly(P<0.05);the level of estro-gen in the low level group was significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the recommended group, the bone specific alkaline phosphatase and alkaline phosphatase in the high level group Ⅱwere significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the nuclear factor κB ligand receptor activator in the low level group Ⅱ was significantly increased(P<0.05).In conclusion, high Ca and P levels can improve the reproductive performance, immunoglobulin content and bone formation level of lacta-ting sows, and the best is when Ca content is 0.79%and available P content is 0.39%.
