Analysis of abnormal electrocardiogram and pregnancy outcome of older pregnant women in middle and late stages of pregnancy
Objective To explore the occurrence of abnormal electrocardiogram(ECG)in high-risk pregnant women during the middle and late stages of pregnancy and to analyze its impact on pregnancy outcomes, aiming to provide more scientific and reliable guidance for medical professionals to ensure the health and safety of high-risk pregnant women and perinatal infants. Methods 240 high-risk pregnant women(>35 years old)were selected as the observation group, and concurrent 240 non-high-risk pregnant women(≤35 years old)were selected as the control group.Electrocardiogram examinations were performed in both groups during the middle and late stages of pregnancy, and the occurrences of abnormal electrocardiogram and types of arrhythmia were compared between the two group,as well as and the pregnancy and delivery outcomes of those with normal and abnormal electrocardiogram in the observation group. Results The occurrence rates of arrhythmia,ST-T changes, and short P-R interval in the observation group were 35.83%,10.83%and 10.00%,which were significantly higher than those of 22.92%,4.17%and 4.58%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of left axis deviation and low voltage between the two groups(P>0.05).The rate of abnormal electrocardiogram in the observation group was 60.00%(144/240),which was higher than that of 34.58%(83/240)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=31.100,P=0.000<0.05).The occurrence rates of sinus tachycardia, sinus bradycardia, atrial premature beats, and ventricular premature beats in the observation group were 12.08%,5.00%,3.75%and 2.92%,which were significantly higher than those of 6.25%,1.67%,0.83%and 0.42%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in terms of incidence of sinus arrhythmia, conduction block and pre-excitation syndrome between the two groups(P>0.05).In the observation group, the rates of cesarean section(50.00%),preterm birth(11.63%)and neonatal low body weight(12.79%)in women with abnormal electrocardiogram were significantly higher than those in normal electrocardiogram(35.71%,3.90%,3.90%),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference in the rate of pregnancy loss between women with abnormal electrocardiogram and normal electrocardiogram(P>0.05).Conclusion The occurrence rate of abnormal electrocardiogram during the middle and late stages of pregnancy is relatively high in high-risk pregnant women, with common abnormalities including arrhythmia and ST-T changes.However,high-risk pregnant women with abnormal electrocardiogram may have adverse effects on pregnancy outcomes and perinatal health. Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the monitoring of electrocardiogram in high-risk pregnant women and intervene and treat abnormal situations in a timely manner to effectively ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby, reduce the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes, and improve the survival rate and quality of life of high-risk pregnant women and perinatal infants.
