Observation on efficacy and safety of aspirin and clopidogrel in the treatment of coronary heart disease in the elderly
Objective To discuss the effect and safety of aspirin and clopidogrel in the treatment of coronary heart disease in the elderly. Methods 60 elderly patients with coronary heart disease were randomly divided into a study group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with aspirin, and the study group was treated with clopidogrel based on the control group. The clinical efficacy, occurrence of adverse reactions and platelet function indexes[platelet count(PLT),mean platelet volume(MPV),plateletcrit(PCT)]of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the study group(96.67%)was higher than the control group(80.00%),and the comparison was statistically significant(P<0.05).The PLT,MPV and PCT of the study group were(126.78±37.29)×109/L,(8.45±0.64)fl and(0.28±0.07)%,respectively,which were significantly lower than(158.63±35.41)×109/L,(10.24±1.03)fl,(0.34±0.04)%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group(3.33%)was lower than the control group(23.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Aspirin and clopidogrel have higher clinical efficacy and safety in the treatment of elderly patients with coronary heart disease, which is worthy of clinical reference.
