Study on clinical effect of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction combined with cervical massage in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction combined with cervical massage in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods A total of 120 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were selected as research subjects and divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table method,with 60 cases in each group.The control group received cervical massage therapy,and the observation group received Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction + cervical massage therapy.Both groups were compared in terms of therapeutic effect,pittsburgh sleep quality Index scale(PSQI)score,activities of daily living(ADL)score,visual analogue scale(VAS)score,functional limitation score,vertigo score,and incidence of adverse reactions.Results The total effective rate of patients in the observation group(96.67%)was significantly higher than the control group(80.00%),and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in PSQI score and ADL score between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).After treatment,PSQI score of(5.13±0.32)points in the observation group was lower than(9.32±1.25)points in the control group,and ADL score of(83.59±10.19)points was higher than(71.49±5.49)points in the control group,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,VAS score,functional limitation score and vertigo score of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy in the observation group had no statistical significance compared with those in the control group(P>0.05).After treatment,VAS score,functional limitation score and vertigo score in the observation group were(2.42±0.89),(1.25±0.39)and(1.22±0.35)points,which were lower than(3.69±1.72),(2.49±0.53)and(2.96±0.79)points in the control group,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The adverse reactions of the two groups were mainly concentrated in gastrointestinal discomfort,and there was no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The reasonable application of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction + cervical massage therapy for patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy can significantly improve the treatment effect,sleep quality and activities of daily living of patients,and significantly relieve symptoms such as shoulder and neck pain,vertigo and limited activity,without increasing adverse reactions.
