Bioinformatics analysis of the effect of SNHG7 on the prognosis of colon cancer
Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression level of long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)small nucleolar RNA host gene 7(SNHG7)and the prognosis of colon cancer, and to find a new potential marker and therapeutic target for colon cancer. Methods All transcriptome data of colon cancer were downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database, and the expression data of SNHG7 were extracted and sorted out.R software was used to analyze the data. The relationship between SNHG7 and the prognosis of colon cancer patients was explored by the differential expression of SNHG7,survival analysis, receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve, univariate and multivariate independent prognostic analysis and combined with clinical data characteristics analysis. Results SNHG7 was highly expressed in colon cancer, and the overall survival of SNHG7 high expression group was worse than that of SNHG7 low expression group.Univariate and multivariate regression analysis showed that SNHG7 was an independent risk factor for poor prognosis of colon cancer patients. The correlation study of clinical data suggested that the expression of SNHG7 was related to the methylation degree of SNHG7,and the methylation degree of SNHG7 was related to the N stage and race of colon cancer. Conclusion SNHG7 is a risk factor for poor prognosis of colon cancer patients, which can be used as a potential marker for the diagnosis and prognosis of colon cancer patients, and provides a new direction for the treatment of colon cancer.
