Effect of Guizhi Shaoyao Decoction in the treatment of hand arthralgia syndrome in the elderly and its influence on traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score
Objective To analyze the effect of Guizhi Shaoyao Decoction in the treatment of hand arthralgia syndrome in the elderly and its influence on traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score. Methods 30 elderly patients with hand arthralgia syndrome were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 15 cases in each group. The control group was treated with diclofenac sodium sustained-release tablets, while the control group was treated with Guizhi Shaoyao Decoction on the basis of the control group. The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, incidence of adverse events, treatment effect, and satisfaction with treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of poor flexion and extension of finger joint, swelling and deformation and pain in the experimental group were(1.02±0.09),(0.98±0.07)and(1.08±0.10)points,respectively,which were lower than(3.21±0.21),(2.91±0.17)and(2.89±0.16)points in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events in the experimental group was 13%,which was lower than 47%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of 93%in the experimental group was higher than 60%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total satisfaction of 87%in the experimental group was significantly higher than 53%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of Guizhi Shaoyao Decoction has a prominent effect in the treatment of elderly hand arthralgia syndrome, and has a significant impact on the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score.
