Analysis of short-term efficacy of open and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair for moderate rotator cuff tear
Objective To explore the short-term efficacy of open and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair in the treatment of moderate rotator cuff tear. Methods 86 patients with moderate rotator cuff tear were selected as research subjects, and were divided into an observation group and a control group by random sampling method. The observation group was treated with arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, and the control group was treated with open rotator cuff repair. The operation-related indexes(operation time, hospital stay, incision length, intraoperative blood loss)were compared between the two groups,as well as visual analogue scale(VAS)score and shoulder joint function score at 24 and 48 h after surgery. Results The operation time, hospital stay and incision length were(85.49±10.29)min,(7.44±1.62)d and(3.58±0.63)cm in the observation group, which were shorter than(93.37±12.47)min,(12.78±2.46)d and(6.41±1.25)cm in the control group;the intraoperative blood loss of(25.49±6.85)ml in the observation group was less than(41.13±8.52)ml in the control group(P<0.05).In the observation group, the VAS scores at 24 and 48 h after surgery were(5.49±1.05)and(3.54±0.87)points,respectively,and the shoulder joint function scores were(65.85±12.08)and(73.16±14.09)points,respectively.In the control group, the VAS scores at 24 and 48 h after surgery were(6.63±1.17)and(5.88±1.13)points,respectively,and the shoulder joint function scores were(57.96±11.63)and(65.55±14.39)points,respectively.At 24 and 48 h after surgery,VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group and the shoulder joint function scores were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with moderate rotator cuff tear, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair has better effect than open rotator cuff repair treatment, and can significantly improve the shoulder joint function of patients, relieve pain, promote the rehabilitation process of the disease, which is a relatively safe and has clinical promotion value.
